Community/Ecosystem Ecologist (Houston,USA)

The Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Houston invites applications for a faculty position at any level in Ecology. The position requires an earned doctorate and postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate is expected to maintain a nationally competitive, externally-funded research program and participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching. A candidate for Associate or Full Professor must have a currently funded research program. Applicants may work in any area of community or ecosystem ecology, but preference will be given to scientists who can use existing facilities (www.uhcc.uh.edu) and who will complement existing strengths in ecology (www.bchs.uh.edu).

Candidates should  submit a single pdf file consisting of a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of research and teaching interests, and the contact information of at least 3 references to ecologysearch@nsm.uh.edu. Consideration of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
