Postdoc in behavioral neuroscience (Italy)

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in behavioral neuroscience and psychopharmacology in murine animal models.

Expertise in experimental paradigms to investigate cognitive functions in mice (instrumental learning and decision making) as well as proficiency in in-vivo pharmacology and brain stereotaxic surgeries are important prerequisites. Previous experience in in-vivo optogenetics will be a plus.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Neuropharmacology, or Experimental Psychology and have an excellent command of written and oral English.

Recruitment will be done at the level of Researcher/Senior Postdoctoral position (depending upon experience).

The project will be part of an integrative framework, taking advantage of complementary neurophysiological expertise available in the research group of “Neuromodulation of Cortical and Subcortical Circuits” coordinated by Raffaella Tonini, Senior Researcher and Head of Laboratory at the IIT-Neuroscience and Brain Technology Department (NBT) (for reference see Nazzaro et al., Nature Neuroscience, 2012; Trusel, Cavaccini et al., Cell Reports, 2015)
