1. ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST. The Department of Biological Sciences and the Environmental Sciences Program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invite applications for a tenure-track position in Biological Sciences at the Assistant Professor level. We seek applicants with a background in environmental science, research experience in hazardous wastes and/or environmental/wildlife toxicology, proficiency in quantitative methods, and commitment to research in environmental sciences. The successful candidate will develop a course for the new Environmental Science undergraduate minor, teach other courses in the Program and Department (e.g., Environmental Health and Waste Management, Ecological Risk Assessment, and Introductory Animal Biology), and develop a strong research program in environmental sciences. Candidates should exhibit potential for independent and innovative research involving Master's and undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in biology or related field with specialization in the field of environmental sciences required at the time of hire. Post-doctoral teaching and research experience preferred.

2. BIOLOGIST. The Department of Biological Sciences, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek applicants with broad training in biological sciences and experience teaching human anatomy and physiology. The primary teaching responsibility of the successful candidate will be human anatomy and physiology and upper division
course(s) in his or her specialty. Candidates should exhibit potential for independent and innovative research involving Master's and undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in biology or anatomy, physiology, or related field with teaching experience in human anatomy and physiology. Post-doctoral teaching and/or research experience preferred.

3. MOLECULAR GENETICIST. The Department of Biological Sciences, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites application for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek applicants with training in molecular genetics. The successful candidate will share responsibility for teaching an introductory genetics course for biology majors, offer upper-division courses in area of expertise, and may also participate in non-majors courses in biology. Candidates should exhibit potential for independent and innovative research involving Master's and undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in the biological sciences with specialization in genetics and molecular biology. Post-doctoral teaching and/or research experience preferred.
