REF 757/04A research group within the Faculty of Life Sciences, which has recently (January 2004) relocated into the £30M Smith Building, requires a research technician. The position will be within an active, well-funded research group under the direction of Professor Neil Bulleid. You will be capable of providing high quality research and organisational support for the group working in areas that include biochemistry, cell culture, cell biology, and biochemical analysis of proteins. You will be responsible for the general management of the laboratory including COSHH assessments, ordering and maintenance of laboratory supplies; preparation of data for presentation; preparation of solutions and media assistance with research as directed. An HNC/BSc or equivalent qualification in a Biological Science subject together with an employment history in a research laboratory is essential.Salary: £16,071 - £19,050 per annum.
