EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL MARINE LIFE CENTER

The National Marine Life Center is searching for an Executive Director to head the organization. The Center is a Cape-based non-profit organization with a small staff, dedicated to the construction of a veterinary hospital which would treat the medical needs of marine mammals and sea turtles. The facility is located in Buzzards Bay and the planned hospital is to be constructed on the same site. Significant planning, fund-raising and operations have occurred to date.
Candidates should have seven or more years of experience in senior level positions in a non-profit organization as well as significant experience in fund-raising, marine or oceanographic work or research, building design and construction, permitting and developing partnerships. Experience in obtaining grant funding, media relations, marketing and community relations are a major plus. Knowledge of Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts is desired.
The salary and benefits of the position are comparable to similar organizations.
