Oportunidad de master sobre fisiología de plantas en Alemania

Our research group at the Center for Plant Molecular Biology (ZMBP), University of Tübingen, is looking for a highly motivated Master student. We are currently working on B-type ARRs, a set of transcription factors belonging to the Two-Component System network in Arabidopsis. B-type ARRs bind to defined DNA regions to regulate the transcription of specific genes. The challenge of our work is to study the interaction of multiple ARR:DNA pairs. We are also interested in determining whether the affinity and the kinetics of these interactions change when comparing different ARR:DNA combinations. To do so, we will use up-to-date molecular binding techniques such as Microscale Thermophoresis (MST) and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR).
Who should apply? Biology, Nanoscience or Biochemistry students that are enthusiastic about science and want to try quantitative biochemical techniques.
For application, please contact virtudes.mira-rodado@zmbp.uni-tuebingen.de or klaus.harter@zmbp.uni-tuebingen.de
The University of Tübingen is an equal opportunity institution. Disabled candidates will be given preference over other equally qualified applicants. The University seeks to raise the number of women in research and therefore urges qualified women to apply.
