GIS Landscape Analyst (Remote)

Organization: Amphibian and Reptile Conservancy (ARC)
Location: Remote
Start Date: January 27, 2025 (flexible)

Position Overview

The Amphibian and Reptile Conservancy (ARC) is seeking a GIS Landscape Analyst to support conservation programs. The selected candidate will contribute expertise in remote sensing, geospatial analysis, data management, and cartography. The position involves mapping, modeling, and maintaining the Priority Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Areas (PARCA) database.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform geospatial analysis to support conservation objectives.
  • Create maps and other cartographic products.
  • Manage, maintain, and analyze geospatial datasets.
  • Develop GIS-based conservation programs in collaboration with the team.
  • Oversee and update the PARCA database.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in GIS and remote sensing tools and techniques.
  • Strong skills in geospatial analysis, data management, and cartography.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passion for amphibian and reptile conservation and habitat preservation.

Compensation

  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
