Are you passionate about environmental education and inspiring future generations to care for the natural world? World Butterfly Park, under Emirates Park Zoo & Resort, is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Educator to develop and deliver engaging programs that bring the wonder of butterflies and their ecosystems to life.
As an Educator, you’ll design workshops, lead interactive tours, create curriculum-based content, and engage with school groups, families, and community organizations. Your work will help promote awareness of butterfly biology, conservation, and the importance of preserving biodiversity in an immersive, hands-on environment.
🎓 Key Responsibilities Include:
🌿 Program Design & Delivery
• Develop interactive programs and workshops on butterfly ecology and conservation for all age groups
• Align content with educational standards and scientific knowledge
• Create engaging exhibits and educational displays throughout the park
👥 Visitor & Community Engagement
• Lead guided tours, demonstrations, and presentations
• Support outreach to schools and community groups
• Collaborate on public events that highlight conservation topics
📚 Curriculum & Content Development
• Design educational materials, lesson plans, and resources for schools and park visitors
• Incorporate feedback and evaluation data to improve program impact
• Train and support interns, volunteers, and junior staff in educational delivery
🌍 Conservation Awareness
• Promote butterfly conservation and sustainability practices
• Integrate current conservation research into public education initiatives
• Encourage visitor participation in citizen science and conservation actions
📝 Reporting & Assessment
• Collect feedback and data to assess program effectiveness
• Prepare reports on attendance, engagement, and visitor learning outcomes
🔍 Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 2–3 years of experience in teaching, environmental education, or science communication
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
• Strong knowledge of butterfly biology, ecosystems, and conservation practices
• Ability to engage with diverse audiences in both formal and informal learning settings
• Strong planning, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Enthusiasm for working outdoors and in dynamic environments
⚙️ Working Conditions:
• Full-time role with occasional weekend and evening responsibilities
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to walk, stand for extended periods, and lift light materials
