Main Description:
PhD position focusing on amphibian skin microbiomes and infectious diseases. The project explores skin microbiome diversity across populations and latitudinal gradients using metagenomic, metabarcoding, and population genomics approaches. The position includes both fieldwork and molecular laboratory components.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Conservation Biology or related field
- At least 240 credits in higher education with 60 credits at Master's level including independent project of 15+ credits
- Strong background in host-parasite evolution and genomics
- Proficiency in bioinformatic analyses including population genomics and metagenomics
- Demonstrated experience with molecular laboratory techniques and high-throughput sequencing data
- Valid driving licence type B (mandatory for fieldwork)
