Main Description: Lab Manager position for operational and technical support in evolutionary genetics research and molecular mechanisms of adaptation. The laboratory uses Drosophila melanogaster as the main model system, combining organismal biology, genetics, molecular biology, and neurobiology.
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain detailed experimental records
- Independence and good judgment
- Demonstrated work ethic
- Interest in scientific research
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse team
- Experience with Drosophila husbandry and genetic crosses favorable
- Experience with basic molecular biology techniques (DNA extractions, PCR, RNA) favorable but not required
Benefits/Conditions: Salary: $52,000-$60,000 depending on experience
