Main Description:
Earth Species Project is hiring two Bioacoustics Annotators to create training and evaluation datasets for AI models focused on animal communication. The role involves audio labeling, data validation, pipeline optimization, and collaboration on scientific publications.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (computer science, marine biology, zoology, acoustics, environmental science) or equivalent experience
- Strong experience handling and interpreting acoustic data
- Familiarity with data collection protocols and common data formats
- Experience with software such as Raven (advantageous)
- Programming skills in Python
- Attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for repetitive work and listening to animal sounds
- $25 USD/hour
- Up to 30 hours per week
- Fully remote
- Flexible schedule
