Main Description:
Source International is looking for an environmental scientist to design and coordinate environmental monitoring and citizen science initiatives focused on water, soil, air and dust pollution. The role combines field research, community training, project development and management, working with communities affected by pollution and extractive activities worldwide. Responsibilities include designing sampling protocols, training local communities in environmental monitoring, and managing projects together with scientific and legal partners.

Requirements:

• Background in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Biology, Geology or a related field
• At least three years of field experience in environmental monitoring (water, soil or air)
• Experience training and working with rural or marginalized communities
• Project management and scientific reporting skills
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Knowledge of Spanish, Italian, French or other languages is an asset
• Willingness to work in remote and challenging environments
