Salary

Associate Professors / Professors are offered a Competitive package.

The starting salary for Lecturers will be from £40,745, per annum, on Grade (F).

The starting salary for Senior Lecturers will be from £48,423, per annum, on grade (G) depending on qualifications and experience.

The Centre for Ecology and Conservation delivers world-class research and education on the ecology, evolution and conservation of natural systems and biodiversity. We foster an inclusive and collaborative academic community, valuing individuals as stakeholders in the success of the Department, University and themselves. Our Subject Groupings are Ecology & Conservation, Behaviour, Evolution, Marine and Microbiology. The University of Exeter ranks in the top 10, worldwide, for the quality of its Ecology research (ARWU 2022).

We have two opportunities that will be based on our beautiful campus in Cornwall, where we have sector-leading facilities including our Environment and Sustainability Institute.

Professor or Associate Professor in Ecology or Conservation Science

We are looking for an innovative researcher and educator, to join our department. We welcome applicants in the broad field of Ecology and Conservation to pursue research that aligns with our strengths as well as contributing to our undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes. As a key senior member of the department, you will be required to provide academic leadership and mentoring.

Lectureship or Senior Lectureship

We are looking for an accomplished and highly motivated Education & Research Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, with expertise in the broad field of Ecology and Conservation. You will ideally have a particular interest in supervising research projects relevant to MSc programmes.
