Contract Type: Fully funded 3-year PhD position
Main Description: PhD position focused on seabird communities and trophic ecology in the Arctic Ocean, their interactions with sea-ice habitats, and vulnerability to environmental changes. Part of the Arctic Ocean 2050 national research program, combining basic research with applied science in an interdisciplinary collaborative environment.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in ecology or closely related field
- Strong academic background (grade B or better in last 2 years)
- Broad knowledge in marine ecology and oceanography
- Solid knowledge of statistics and R programming
- Minimum B2 English (oral & written)
- Advantages: GIS/spatial analysis, Python, seabird/arctic ecology experience, Norwegian/Scandinavian language, fieldwork on research cruises, large spatial datasets analysis, lab work in trophic ecology
