Main Description:
Permanent full-time position leading zoology teams at Perth Zoo. Responsibilities include managing budgets, staff supervision, and maintaining animal welfare standards. The role involves strategic species planning, habitat design, and developing educational visitor experiences.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in fauna management in zoos or similar environments
- Leadership experience and team development skills
- Experience in developing and implementing animal management policies and procedures
- Knowledge of equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, and risk management
- Experience providing specialist advice for habitat design
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency (essential)
