Contract Type: Two-year MSc position with full scholarship funding
Main Description: This is a two-year MSc position in evolutionary genomics focused on computational analyses of maternal traits in Icelandic Arctic charr. The project includes single-step GWAS, identification of quantitative trait loci, and analysis of a fully pedigreed population with over 1,000 sequenced females. The research combines evolutionary biology, genomics, and animal breeding approaches to understand maternal effects in this iconic Arctic fish species.
Requirements:
- BSc in biology or selective breeding
- Strong interest in computational work
- Interest in evolutionary biology or animal breeding
