Main Description:
The Wildlife Conservation Society's Ocean Giants team is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to work with passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) data focused on detecting marine mammals, fish, and ocean noise. The successful candidate will conduct analyses of large datasets and contribute to scientific reports and publications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Bioacoustics, Marine Mammal Science, or a related discipline
- Experience analyzing large datasets, particularly acoustic data
- Strong quantitative analysis skills
- Field work experience
- Ability to write scientific papers
- Excellent communication skills
