Contract Type: Full-time contract, 15 months (37.5 hours/week) — parental leave coverage
Main Description:
CPAWS Southern Alberta is seeking an Interim Education Director to cover a parental leave period of 15 months. The successful candidate will lead the education department, oversee daily operations, manage environmental education programs, support fundraising and development activities, and provide strategic leadership within a Canadian conservation organization.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in education, environmental sciences, non-profit management, or a related field — OR a minimum of 5 years of experience managing programs, people, or departments
- Reliable transportation in the Calgary area and potentially southern Alberta
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Criminal record check for working with children and vulnerable individuals
- First aid or wilderness first aid certification is an asset
- Excellent technology and written communication skills
- Salary: $72,000–$79,000 CAD depending on experience
- 3 weeks vacation (15 days)
- 1 week winter holiday closure
- 5 wilderness vacation days
