Main Description:
HWA Wildlife Consulting is seeking an Avian Biologist to conduct bird surveys and monitoring at wind energy sites in Wyoming. Work includes data observation, information collection, and wind turbine curtailment operations, with a focus on eagles and other raptors.

Requirements:

• A.S. or B.S. in Wildlife, Natural Resources, Ecology, or related field
• Ability to identify common Wyoming bird species, especially eagles and raptors
• Experience driving in winter conditions and operating 4WD vehicles
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel and work on weekends and holidays
• Preferred: prior experience conducting eagle and raptor identification surveys

Benefits/Conditions:

• $20–$22 per hour
• Shared field housing provided
• Field vehicle provided
• Overtime pay for hours exceeding 40/week
