Main Description
The Alaska SeaLife Center is seeking a full-time Marine Mammal Rehabber to join its Wildlife Response team. The position focuses on the routine care of marine mammals — primarily harbor seals and sea otters — in rehabilitation and quarantine areas, working under the supervision of the Wildlife Response Curator. The role includes hands-on animal care, participation in on-call duties, and HAZWOPER 24 training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, animal science, zoology, or veterinary science
- Experience in animal care and wildlife rehabilitation
- Experience with marine mammals preferred
- SCUBA certification preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills
Benefits/Conditions
- Salary: $20.35–$25.03/hour (Specialist 1) or $23.65–$29.15/hour (Specialist 2)
- Full-time position with benefits
