Main Description
The Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent is seeking a Research Associate to contribute to the E3 Sharing Space for Nature programme, a five-year initiative funded by Research England. The programme focuses on Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs) as tools for biodiversity conservation.
The role involves conducting original, high-quality research, producing peer-reviewed publications, supporting programme initiatives, and co-supervising postgraduate researchers. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative and internationally recognised conservation research environment.
Requirements
- PhD in conservation science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Specialist knowledge and research experience in OECMs and area-based conservation
- Track record of publications relevant to area-based conservation
