Main Description:
This 3-month internship is hosted jointly by two of Australia's leading conservation organisations. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across a range of conservation science activities, including ecological monitoring, flora and fauna identification, data management, and biodiversity conservation. The role includes a hosted field visit to The Quoin reserve in Tasmania, providing direct exposure to on-ground conservation work in a unique landscape.
Requirements:
- Recent graduate or early-career professional in conservation or a related field
- Developed vegetation identification skills
- Experience or strong interest in ecological monitoring and related technologies
- Legal right to live and work in Australia
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Ability and willingness to travel by air
- Enthusiasm for learning and collaboration
- Pro-rata salary of $15,260 AUD for 3 months, including superannuation
- Hosted visit to The Quoin, Tasmania (accommodation included)
- One-on-one mentoring throughout the internship
