Main Description:
The IMMS Bottlenose Dolphin Photo-ID Program is seeking interns to join their research team in Gulfport, Mississippi. Interns will participate in the photo-identification program for bottlenose dolphins, contributing to long-term monitoring and research. Key activities include:
- Processing and cataloguing dolphin photo-ID photographs
- Participating in boat-based field surveys
- Data entry and database management
- Assisting with marine mammal and sea turtle research activities
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Currently enrolled student or recent graduate in biology, marine science, marine biology, marine and estuarine ecology, oceanography, or a related field
- Previous research experience preferred
- Ability to fulfill all described duties
