Main Description:
CMARI is seeking an Aerial Observer to conduct aerial surveys for North Atlantic right whales across the southeastern United States. The position involves flying up to six days per week throughout the survey season. Observers will receive training in aviation and marine safety/survival prior to fieldwork. Group housing is provided for the duration of the project.
Requirements:
- Availability for the full project duration (November 2026 – April 2027)
- Ability to complete aviation and marine safety/survival training
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Physical fitness for aerial survey work
- Group housing provided
- Training in aviation and marine safety included
