Main Description:
AIMS is seeking a PDP Liaison Officer to support its Pilot Deployment Program (PDP), focused on coral reef restoration through conservation aquaculture. The role involves leading coral spawning operations, larval rearing, settlement, and deployment, while coordinating with industry partners and AIMS scientists. Responsibilities also include field data collection, data analysis, database maintenance, and training of industry staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marine science, biology, or ecology
- Extensive experience in coral aquaculture and reef restoration
- In-depth knowledge of coral spawning, larval rearing, settlement, and growth processes
- Experience supervising staff and contractors
- Large-scale logistical coordination skills
- Open C Class driver's licence (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
