Main Description
This doctoral project examines the role of stable spring habitats in supporting biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, and resilience within braided river systems. The research is particularly relevant for understanding how spring-fed habitats contribute to the overall ecological health of freshwater landscapes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with Department of Conservation scientists.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent academic preparation
- Relevant academic background in ecology, aquatic biology, or environmental disciplines
- Strong interest in freshwater ecology and ecological research
- No prior professional experience required
