Main Description:
The D. Ross Robertson Research Fellowship Awards support early-career researchers conducting field studies on deep-reef fishes (40–300 m depth) in the Neotropics. The fellowship funds field-based research on the biology of deep-reef fishes, and is open to PhD students and recent postdoctoral researchers (up to 3 years post-degree).
Requirements:
- Formally enrolled PhD student at a recognized university, OR recent postdoc (up to 3 years post-degree) affiliated with a research or teaching institution
- At least one advisor who is a STRI scientist
- Background in reef fish biology
Benefits/Conditions:
- Up to US$45,000 to cover travel to the research site and living expenses during fieldwork
- Does not include personal stipend or laboratory research costs
