Main Description:
Four-year predoctoral position to study how climate change affects persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in Arctic and Antarctic ecosystems. The project combines fieldwork with long-term analysis of contaminants in Arctic char and Antarctic lake zooplankton. It includes laboratory work, field sampling, and research campaigns at Spanish polar facilities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Biotechnology, Marine Sciences, or related disciplines
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Strong academic record to support predoctoral funding application
- Desirable experience in analytical chemistry or chromatographic techniques (GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS)
