Main Description:
Eckerd College's Marine Science Program seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in marine mammals. The position combines teaching (7 courses per year in a 3-1-3 format) with undergraduate-focused research. Areas of interest include dolphins, manatees, and whales. The successful candidate will join a program with access to year-round coastal field opportunities in the Tampa Bay area.
Requirements:
- PhD in Marine Science, Oceanography, Biology, or a related field
- Experience in undergraduate teaching and mentoring
- Commitment to research accessible to undergraduate students
- Ability to secure external funding
- Successful background check
- Tenure-track position
- Access to the Galbraith Marine Science Laboratory with excellent facilities and research vessels for year-round coastal research
