Contract Type: Initial 1-month contract with possibility of permanent full-time employment
Main Description:
OSC is recruiting MMO (Marine Mammal Observer) and/or PAM (Passive Acoustic Monitoring) Operators to work on global marine mammal and underwater noise monitoring projects. The role is primarily based offshore, with assignments of variable duration (days to months). Between projects, onshore tasks will be carried out at OSC's headquarters in Dunbar, Scotland. Responsibilities include field monitoring work and assistance with reports, publications, and scientific articles.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an MMO and/or PAM Operator
- Ability to assist with reporting, publications, and articles
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently in offshore environments
- Existing offshore certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain them
- Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
- Offshore supplement included
- Possibility of permanent full-time employment following initial contract
