Main Description
Eckerd College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in its Marine Science Program, with expertise in marine mammals (dolphins, manatees, whales). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 7 courses per year at the undergraduate level and will develop an independent research program in collaboration with the Eckerd College Dolphin Project. The position offers access to the Galbraith Marine Science Laboratory and year-round research facilities and vessels for coastal and marine access.
Requirements
- PhD in Marine Science, Oceanography, or Biology
- Research experience in marine mammals
- Commitment to undergraduate teaching and student mentoring
- Ability to develop externally funded research
