Leopard Seal Biologist (part-time) - Moana Mark - Kaikōura, Nueva Zelanda - NZD 27/hora, 20h/semana - contrato hasta 31 octubre 2027
Location: Kaikōura, New ZealandOrganization: Moana Mark (registered charity)
Contract Type: Fixed-term, grant-funded contract until 31 October 2027, part-time (approx. 20 hours/week)
Main Description: Part-time Biologist position for the leopard seal research programme in Kaikōura. Responsibilities include maintaining the national database, managing the photo-ID catalogue, conducting diet and health analyses, and coordinating the sightings network.
Requirements:
- University degree in marine science, ecology, or a related field
- Experience in data management and photo-identification
- Knowledge of marine mammals and field methods
- Right to work in New Zealand
- R, GIS, or Excel skills desirable
Benefits/Conditions: NZD 27/hour, approximately 20 hours/week, fixed-term contract until 31/10/2027
