Main Description:
The Natural History Museum Denmark is seeking a tenure track assistant professor and curator of Mollusca (squids, octopuses, clams, slugs, and snails). The successful candidate will develop collection-based research, curate collections of 200,000 specimens, lead digitization initiatives, engage in teaching and research, and participate in public outreach activities. Position available from January 1, 2027.
Requirements:
- PhD or equivalent
- Scientific specialist in molluscs
- Experience in collection-based research
- Outstanding reputation for high-quality research
- Experience in curation of natural history collections
- Demonstrated potential to attract external funding
- Vision regarding digital technologies and genomics
- Excellent scientific communication skills
- Experience in public engagement and citizen science

Benefits/Conditions:
Salary according to agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations, with possible negotiation of salary supplement.
