Director - Environmental Education.
WWF-India, the largest environmental conservation NGO, with a national branch network invites applications for the position of Director - Environmental Education.

The position requires qualitative inter-action with government agencies, technical and educational institutions, voluntary organizations, schools, colleges, and Advisory Boards of some of these institutions. Group interaction skills with varied age levels, especially the younger generation and diverse audience levels are job requirements. Therefore, the skill base to deal with such challenges is essential. Basically a practitioner, the incumbent will need to take relevant environment education activities forward, including initiating, planning, formulating projects and implementing them. The candidate would be required to handle the management of educational projects on a national scale, monitoring and evaluating such projects, production of resource material, exhibits, besides raising funds for the programmes.

Candidates with Post-Graduation qualifications and 10 years post qualification experience in the relevant field with the experience or ability to use new tools of communication will be preferred. Candidates selected will be responsible for taking forward organization's existing and fresh initiatives and implementing them on an all-India scale. A forward looking aptitude, resourcefulness and initiative are desirable aspects of the candidates.

WWF's environmental education programmes are aimed at raising public awareness on conservation issues. Increasingly, programmes are aimed at building green capacity in educational institutions with teachers, youth and school children; the aim is to generate a cadre of conservation-conscious and motivated citizens who may play a role in promoting environmentally sustainable life-styles. WWF-India organizes teachers' training workshops, nature club activities, and seminars. Such activities are carried out on a national level. As the position entails an important leadership and implementation role, the candidate/s should be familiar with the necessity of commitment, both in terms of delivery of targets and tenure.

Remuneration will depend both on candidates' experience levels and the overall WWF-India salary structure. Location is not a factor for the deserving candidate and could operate from any part of the country.
