Research Assistant
Biophysics Section
Department of Biological Sciences
The Biophysics Section in the Department of Biological Sciences has a Research Assistant position to study the effects of general anaesthetic gases on ion channels. The post is funded for 12 months.
The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team led by Professor N. P. Franks.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a BSc or equivalent or a PhD in a relevant field, or expect to be awarded one soon. Experience in electrophysiological techniques (particularly patch clamping) and molecular biology would be an advantage, but is not essential.
The salary is £21,368 per annum.
