The Alaska SeaLife Center (ASLC), a non-profit organization dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystem of Alaska through research, rehabilitation and public education, is seeking applicants for the following positions:
Temporary Research Technicians (2)
Chiswell Island Steller Sea Lion Remote Monitoring
This position serves as a seasonal technician for the Steller sea lion remote monitoring project at the Alaska SeaLife Center. Responsibilities
include: operating remote video monitoring equipment, photo identification of Steller sea lions, classification and recording of sea lion behavior, general administrative assistance, data entry and analysis, and assistance with field studies as assigned.
Qualification requirements include bachelor's degree in biology, marine biology, zoology, or related field. Experience in biological field studies, scientific writing, remote monitoring equipment, and photo identification of marine mammals preferred.
These are temporary, full-time positions. Length of employment
