Biology Media Opportunity, Latina Women in Science

Untamed Science is a production team that produces engaging educational
videos for science classrooms across the country. We are seeking a Latina,
scientist-host to add to our team of on-camera presenters with a minimum of
a bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences. This is a paid, part-time
position, in which the candidate would explain real world science topics as
an on-camera personality in a series of 4-minute videos for high-school
students. The ideal candidate for this position would be a graduate student.

Untamed Science replaced the Discovery Channel as the video producers for
the largest publisher of science textbooks in the country. Over the past
three years, we have produced over 200 videos that will be seen by 50% of
all students in America over the next decade from K-12. Our videos are part
of classroom curriculum as the “video science field trip” that companions
each chapter in their textbook.

Untamed Science has incredible outreach potential, and would be an excellent
partner for individuals who are also interested in expanding the broader
impacts of their research through educating high school students.

Previous on-camera experience is not necessary, only a desire to teach and
inspire the next generation of scientists. Applicants should submit their
curriculum vitae to:
