DNA Nanodevices and Chemical Reaction Circuits

Applications are invited for a Student Research Assistant to work on a collaborative project involving DNA nanodevices and chemical reaction circuits for 8 months starting in September 2004. He/she would be responsible for carrying out design/experimental work and for liaison with a collaborating group in a U.S university.
The successful candidate will need experience in the field of Biotechnology including familiarity with thermodynamic and kinetic models of nucleic acid hybridisation, folding, conformational changes and simulation of chemical reaction networks. They should have practical experience with general lab techniques, gel electrophoresis, fluorescence measurements and interpretation of DNA nanostructure experiments. Also required is knowledge of general chemistry and computer science.
