The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UT seeks applicants for two positions at the assistant/associate professor level to start August 1, 2005.
Landscape Ecologist: Field or laboratory experience is required. We encourage applicants who wish to develop a research program based in part on regional ecosystems. Teaching will include an upper division landscape ecology course, a graduate course in the applicant's specialty, and eventual participation in a lower division ecology course. Committee chair: Dr. Dan Simberloff.
Evolutionary Biologist: We seek applicants who integrate theoretical and empirical approaches to study evolutionary processes in natural populations. Research areas might include gene flow, speciation, coevolution, or phylogeography. Teaching will include an upper division population genetics course, a graduate course in the applicant's specialty, and eventual participation in a lower division genetics course. Committee
