Biological Techinican needed

Point Reyes National Seashore, a unit of the National Park Service, is seeking a Biological Techinican (Wildlife - GS6/7). The closing date for this vacancy announcement is September 30, 2004.
The incumbent of this position serves as a wildlife technician in the Seashore’s wildlife management program, implementing the tule elk management plan and other ungulate management plans. The incumbent provides assistance to the park Wildlife Biologist in elk and deer monitoring, monitoring and control of non-native mammal and bird species, censusing, capture and necropsy, and data input and analysis at Point Reyes National Seashore.
This is a term position not-to-exceed 13 months but which may be extended for up to four years depending on funding and work availability. Government housing MAY be available. Located approximately 40 miles north of San Francisco, this is considered a high cost of living area.
