A position is available to support a graduate student for 3 years to study the effects of flow and turbulence on sea urchin fertilization. The project combines laboratory flume experiments with field measurements of hydrodynamics and sperm availability. Consequently, the student should have experience in fertilization biology with some interest in learning hydrodynamics or have experience in hydroodynamics with some interest in fertilization biology.
