Part-time animal care coordinator

The National Marine Life Center, a new interim marine animal rehabilitation center on Cape Cod, is seeking a part-time animal care coordinator to work with cold-stunned, stranded sea turtles and possibly seals. Responsibilities include, under supervision of veterinarian and animal care supervisor: general animal husbandry, food preparation, cleaning and maintenance of facility, aid in implementing and presenting educational programs to the public, help with volunteer training and coordinating, and water quality and general water filtration system maintenance. Requirements: general wild animal handling experience a must, seal and/or sea turtle rehabilitation experience a plus, college degree (biology, zoology, wildlife), be hard-working, flexible, understand and support NMLC mission, be able to work with other facilities in area.
