Research Assistants are needed for approximately one month of field 
work (October 2004 and February 2006) in the Chiricahua Mountains, 
Arizona,  USA. We will be examining carnivore-rodent-plant 
interactions along an elevational/productivity gradient in the 
Chiricahua Mountains. Work will include mark-recapture  small mammal 
and carnivore work, carnivore track stations, plant surveys, and 
setting up experimental rodent exclosures in three different 
habitats: Desert/Juniper Woodland, Oak Woodland, and Pine Forest. 
Living situation consists of camping and a yurt as home-base in the 
Chiricahua Mountains. Opportunity for independent (related) study 
exists. Desired Skills: hard working, ability to live outdoors and 
get along with others,  small mammal work or knowledge of SE Arizona 
flora is a huge plus. Excellent opportunity to gain field ecology 
experience in a variety of habitats and in one of the most diverse 
areas of the United States.  No salary availible, but expenses will
