Applications are invited for a one-year CNRS funded postdoctoral position
on the general theme: Evolution of senescence and sexual conflicts:
investigations through experiments and natural populations.
The candidate will study the interplay between the evolution of senescence
and sexual selection, using long-term observational data from birds
and experimental data from manipulations on a freshwater hermaphroditic
snail. The post-doc will be based at the Centre dâ?TEcologie Fonctionnelle
et Evolutive (CNRS, UMR 5175) in Montpellier, where the applicant will
work with Anne Charmantier, Patrice David, and Philippe Jarne. The post
can start on September 1st or October 1st 2008 and will run for one
year. Gross salary will be 2500â,¬ per month.
