Voluntariado de investigación con aves en Australia

Field assistant position (Australian desert, Zebra finch)18 janvier 2017

What for: Helping on my PhD research on the ecology of fear on the zebra finch. Zebra finches are well studied in captivity, however little is known in the wild. In this project, series of experiments will be conducted on how zebra finches are using their landscape (eating without being eaten). The field work will essentially take place in the morning (from sunrise).

Where: Accommodation in Fowlers Gap Research station, 110km north from Broken Hill, NSW, Australia.

How long: I am going to be there for 2 months (March and April 2017). I am looking for volunteers to stay at least 3 weeks, longer period will be preferred.

For you if you are:
Not afraid of harsh conditions (well, Australian desert)
Enjoy team work
Ok to do repetitive tasks over long period of time
Fluent in English (or knowledge in English and fluent in French or German)

Costs: Accommodation and inland travel costs will be covered.
