This role focuses on implementing bioinformatics workflows for variant calling from whole-genome sequencing data of 10 pied flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca) populations. Leveraging a chromosome-level genome assembly recently generated by the research group, the bioinformatician will conduct downstream analyses, including assessments of genetic divergence, admixture, and evolutionary history. Additional tasks may include supporting genome annotation through RNA sequencing and other data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement bioinformatics workflows for variant calling from whole-genome sequencing data.
