We are looking for an outstanding postdoctoral researcher interested in applying for this fellowship within the group of Dr. Ramón Hurtado-Guerrero at the BIFI, University of Zaragoza.
Research Areas: The proposed research will focus on:
- Understanding the molecular mechanisms and specificity of GalNAc-T isoenzymes, with the goal of identifying selective inhibitors with biomedical applications.
- Engineering antibodies and enzymes (e.g., mucinases) targeting Tn/STn antigens in mucosal cancers.
- Integrative structural biology and protein design, including computational simulations and crystallographic/cryo-EM studies.
Requirements: We welcome expressions of interest from candidates who:
- Hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science, or related disciplines.
- Have a strong background or interest in structural biology, glycobiology, computational design, or enzyme mechanisms.
- Have an excellent track record of publications and scientific initiative.
