Main Description:
Eco-evolutionary modeling of aphid and host tree life history in relation to climate change. This position is part of the FORSHARK project funded by ANR (French National Research Agency), which investigates how climate change affects the epidemiology of sharka disease transmitted by aphids in Prunus trees. The postdoctoral researcher will develop and analyze mathematical models combining ecological dynamics and evolutionary processes to understand the complex interactions between climate, aphid vectors, and tree hosts.
Requirements:
- PhD or equivalent degree
- Experience in eco-evolutionary modeling using quantitative genetics and/or adaptive dynamics models
- Programming skills in R and Mathematica
- Strong mathematical analysis capabilities
- Motivation and autonomy
- Collaborative mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Benefits/Conditions:
- Approximate salary: 3,100 euros gross per month (may vary according to INRAE salary scale)
