Main Description:
The Institute for Environmental Genomics at the University of Oklahoma is seeking three Research Scientists (faculty positions) to develop and implement AI-based algorithms, computational biogeochemical models, and tools for microbiome analysis. The successful candidates will participate in grant proposal development and may hold adjunct faculty positions in relevant academic departments.
The three research areas include:
- Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning applied to environmental genomics
- Quantitative Ecology and Computational Biology
- Microbial Ecology and Evolution
Requirements:
- Experience in AI/deep learning or large language models; OR
- Development of mathematical/computational algorithms; OR
- Microbiome data analysis; OR
- Advanced molecular technologies for microbial ecology research
