Main Description:
PhD position to investigate transcriptional regulatory mechanisms involved in the evolution of sociality in beetles. The project uses a multi-omics approach combining gene expression analysis, epigenetic data, and experimental work with eight beetle species at different stages of parental care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field
- Strong interest in behaviour, evolution, and genomics
- Experience with NGS data, R, or other programming language (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience in tissue dissection, molecular lab procedures, and bioinformatic analysis of transcriptome/methylation data (desirable)
